Shanxi's outbound coal sales drop sharply in April amid supply-side reform

Under strict production restriction, capacity control and deepening supply-side reform, Shanxi’s coal sales to outside dropped sharply by 18.4% on the month and by 23.5% YoY to 24.81 million mt in April. Its outbound coal sales totaled 114.93 million mt in January-April, down by 10.5% YoY.

Coal resource tax reforms remove CNY18.1 bln cost burden for coal sector in 2015

According to the State Administration of Taxation, a total of CNY33.3 billion resource tax was levied on the coal sector in 2015 after the levy shifted to a price-oriented mode, hiking by CNY18.5 billion or 125% on the year, while a total of CNY36.6 billion fee fund was reduced.
