Guangzhou (JLC), October 17, 2025--China's e-commerce logistics index rose 0.4 points from the previous month to 112.7 points in September, setting a new yearly high, according to data released by the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP) on Thursday.
In September, e-commerce logistics demonstrated robust activity in both supply and demand. The total business volume index stood at 132.5 points, up 1.1 points from August.
Regionally, central China recorded the strongest growth, increasing by 3.5 points month-on-month.
Driven by a continuously optimized county-township-village three-tier logistics system, the rural e-commerce logistics business index reached 132.7 points, also a yearly high, with a month-on-month increase of 1.0 point.
In September, sub-indices including delivery timeliness, fulfillment rate, customer satisfaction, and workforce numbers all improved and remained above the baseline of 100 points.
Notably, the workforce index expanded for the sixth consecutive month, while the satisfaction index climbed to 103 points, its highest level this year.
Meanwhile, the cost index extended its decline, falling to the lowest level since 2023.
"The e-commerce logistics index's growth over seven consecutive months to a fresh annual high highlights solid demand in the sector and enduring vitality in the broader economy," said Liu Yuhang, director of the China Logistics Information Center.
