Guangzhou (JLC), June 4, 2026--Sinopec and BYD signed an industrial and capital cooperation framework agreement in Beijing on June 3, Sinopec announced on its official WeChat account.

The two companies plan to carry out collaboration in three major fields: flash charging network construction, ecosystem integration, and supply chain synergy. Together, they will build a refueling and flash charging smart energy ecosystem in China.

Under the agreement, first, they will achieve interconnectivity in the construction of charging networks by leveraging Sinopec's existing network of refueling stations to advance the construction and operation of flash charging stations, serving car owners nationwide and worldwide.

Second, they will build an ecosystem of "energy replenishment + automotive services" centered around the "people, cars, and life" concept, exploring cooperation in areas such as automotive aftermarket services and photovoltaic energy storage, charging, and inspection integrated systems, while further promoting collaboration in membership systems, customer insights, and data empowerment.

Third, they will develop cooperation across the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, including automotive and battery materials, vehicle fuel, ship bunkering, energy storage, automotive supplies, centralized procurement, and data intelligence.

Prior to this framework agreement, Sinopec and BYD had already worked together in fields such as oil product supply and energy station construction.

Sinopec boasts a nationwide energy service network, having built over 30,000 service stations, more than 28,000 Easy Joy convenience stores, and over 14,000 charging and battery swapping stations.
