Guangzhou (JLC), September 29, 2024--The Ministry of Transport of the PRC forecast that approximately 1.94 billion Chinese people will travel during the seven-day National Day holiday (October 1-7), with a daily average of 277 million, up 0.7% year on year.
Self-driving trips are projected to reach 1.526 billion during the holiday, accounting for about 80% of the total.
The outbound passenger flow is expected to peak on October 1 and the return passenger flow will gradually increase after October 5.
The average travel distance during the National Day holiday is estimated to increase by around 30% compared to the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday.
