Guangzhou (JLC), October 31, 2025--PetroChina recorded a decline of 4.9% in its net profit in Jan-Sept (Q1-Q3), the company reported on October 30.

In accordance with Chinese Accounting Standards (CASs), the company’s net profit attributable to its equity holders for Q1-Q3 2025 settled at 126.28 billion yuan, down by 6.51 billion yuan from a year earlier. The basic earnings per share were 0.69 yuan.

The net profit after the deduction of non-recurring profits and losses for this period stood at 126.87 billion yuan (17.82 billion US dollars), down by 6.40% year on year, the company said.

In the first three quarters, the company reported total revenue of 2,169.27 billion yuan, down 3.90% year on year.

In the third quarter, the company’s net profit fell 3.9% to 42.29 billion yuan compared with the same period last year.

The profit reduction can be partly ascribed to the downward trend in international oil prices.
